Matt founded Freightro in 2023 to give shippers a transportation management system built around how they buy, move and pay for freight. Before Freightro, he was a founding team member at Inxeption, which grew to a valuation of more than $3 billion. Earlier in his career, Matt spent 7 seasons in professional baseball after being drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers and was named 2009 First Team NCAA All-American and Daktronics Player of the Year. As Chief Revenue Officer, he leads Freightro’s sales and customer relationships.
Jay leads operations at Freightro, drawing on more than two decades of scaling high-volume online marketplaces. Over 17 years at eBay, he rose to Chief Operating Officer of eBay Americas, ran merchandising for categories including motor vehicles and parts, electronics, and business and industrial, and earlier led product and engineering teams along with fraud, security, and billing and payments operations. He later served as Chief Operating Officer of industrial-commerce platform Inxeption and has advised and served on the boards of e-commerce and marketplace startups. Before eBay, Jay worked at Accenture. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and a master’s degree from UC San Diego’s School of Global Policy and Strategy.
Spencer leads finance at Freightro, bringing more than two decades of experience in institutional real estate investment, and asset management. After stepping down as Partner in 2025, he is a Senior Advisor at WPT Capital Advisors and was previously SVP of Asset Management at WPT Industrial REIT. His work has spanned portfolio strategy, acquisitions, dispositions, development, sustainability, workouts, and capital markets transactions. Spencer holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and economics from Lehigh University.
